About the Stuart, Florida Area
I serve the greater Treasure Coast of Florida which encompasses the areas described below.
1. Stuart
Stuart is widely considered the "Sailfish Capital of World". Stuart's beautiful historic downtown area has much to offer! Each of downtown Stuart's shops is unique - be sure not to miss the boutiques and the wonderfully diverse restaurants! The newly refurbished historic Lyric Theater offers a wide venue of entertainment year round. Stuart's art scene has really taken off with it's many galaries & art shows scheduled at various locations throughout the year. Stuart is truly a wonderful community to call home! |
2. Hutchinson Island
Hutchinson Island is located along the central Atlantic coast of Florida, north of Palm Beach and five miles northeast of the town of Stuart. This is a long, thin barrier island that stretches north from Fort Pierce south to Stuart. The small town of Jensen Beach, which occupies the core of the island, actually stretches across both sides of the Indian River. There are miles of beautiful, sandy beach to enjoy in this down-to-earth town, where citrus farmers and fishermen still play a big community role. Activities on Hutchinson Island include swimming, beachcombing, surfing, jet skiing, boating, snorkeling and more. There are several top-notch golf courses in the area, and all the excitement of Palm Beach is just a 45-minute drive away. One of the most popular spots on Hutchinson Island is the Bathtub Reef Park. Children can splash and swim in this shallow, natural pool that is sheltered from the ocean by a protective reef. There are lifeguards, showers, restrooms and picnic shelters at the park. Another interesting note about Hutchinson Island is that between late April and August, more than 600 turtles come to nest along the town’s Atlantic beach. Families will love Hutchinson Island, where the atmosphere is pure small town. (Source: http://www.floridavacations.com)

By 1895, so many pineapples were grown in Jensen Beach that it was called the "Pineapple Capital of the World" shipping out a million boxes of the fruit a year. Today, the pineapple has become a symbol of this charming village. The pineapple is also known as the symbol of hospitality and the friendly residents and relaxing sunshine have a magical way of making any visitor feel right at home. The area (which includes beautiful neighbor Hutchinson Island and its miles of unspoiled beaches) features spectacular boating, fishing, sailing, skiing, surfing and scuba (divers can explore shipwrecks and artificial reefs just offshore).
